Retrofit

KUHNE North America offers retrofitting for all equipment, not just KUHNE-owned equipment. Retrofitting involves a mechanical overhaul of equipment, including replacement of the extruder or other components. In addition, plants can be equipped or retrofitted with specific parts to complement and optimize them. For example, by adding a stacker or by integrating a melt point measurement system to stabilize the process.

Control retrofits are also possible, where old equipment is equipped with the latest technology. Care is taken to ensure that the retrofitting is carried out independently of the manufacturer. The aim is to increase the efficiency and performance of the equipment and to improve the production processes.
